Code of Conduct
All participants must abide by the following code of conduct for the duration of the conference:
Be respectful at all times. No harassment of any sort will be tolerated.
If the chairs or advisors deem your behavior inappropriate, you will be asked to stop, and if you fail to comply, you will be asked to leave. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to, disrespectful notes and verbal harassment of fellow delegates or the chairs.
You are not allowed to write any part of your resolution beforehand. This is considered cheating, and violation of this rule will result in disqualification from awards and notification of your school/delegation.
If any delegate is concerned about potential violations of the code of conduct, please inform your committee chair.
Failure to comply with any of the above will result in immediate removal from the conference.
Position Papers & Awards
In order to be eligible for awards, each delegate must submit a position paper by January 2, 2024. Each position paper must be no longer than 2 pages in length (not including the header or works cited), with a font size no smaller than 12 pt. Position papers which exceed this limit will not be read or considered for a position paper award. To submit your position paper, name it "[Country] - [Committee]" and email it as a PDF file to modelun.edisoneagles@gmail.com by the deadline. The chairs will provide feedback for position papers received by the deadline. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact EHSMUN via the email provided.
The awards offered for each committee are: Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, Honorable Mention, Best Position Paper, and Verbal Commendation. Awards will be decided on the basis of overall performance at the conference, and criteria will include decorum, understanding of the topic, maintenance of country stance, and overall performance.
Other Information

In the days leading up to the conference, if you feel unwell, if you test positive for COVID-19, or if you come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please refrain from attending. Contact your delegation's advisor and let them know you will be absent for this reason. You will be notified of subsequent details via email.

Please refrain from bringing unnecessary electronic devices to the conference. During committee, you will not be permitted to use electronic devices without approval from the chairs.
